Band Helped A cash donation from the residents was presented to John Parshall for the Richmond High School band trip to California by Mae Kinsclla, Appreciation Day was observed Saturday afternoon and evening at the Interfaith Housing complex on North West Fifth Street, The managers, Mr, and Mrs. EdOetting, and the residents gave a pitch-in dinner and corn roast for members of the board of directors, ministers who helped in getting the retirement home started and those who have made donations of any kind to Interfaith.
Nearly 150 residents and guests attended. Mr. Oetting constructed an open pit for the corn roast and tables were set up on the south side of the building for those wanting to eat outside. Harry and Charlotte Ammonett's Basenjis, "Te-noma's O'Brien," took first in his 4- 6-month puppy dog class, with litter mate, "Te-noma's Kelly," taking second. The Ammonett's Shih Tzy, "Tenoma's Maylin," took second place in a 2- to 4-month puppy bitch class. Carolyn and Richard Wick-ersham's Alaskan Mala-mutes, "Rippleridge's Kisha," took first in a two-to-four-month puppy bitch class; her litter brother, "Rippleridge's Nannu," took first in a 2- to 4-month puppy dog class and was judged best of opposite sex in the best of breed competition. McNabb is a psychiatrist at LaRue Carter Hospital in Indianapolis, working one day a week at Camilla Dunn Mental Health Clinic in Richmond. Since 19G2 the Child Guidance Clinic has offered help to emotionally disturbed children and their parents.
